How blessed we all are to be the Faith Sons of God – sons of spiritual promise! Our sonship with God assures us that we have a place in the grand universe. (John 14:1-4) We are now reckoned as sons of God due to our faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26), but in due time, we will receive our adoption as full Spirit Sons of the Father, along with our heavenly inheritance. (Romans 8:15-17)
Our faith in and acceptance of our sonship establishes it as eternally real. This has been the Father’s purpose for all mankind since before the world was created (Ephesians 1:3-5), and as Jesus said, since the days of John the Baptist, men have been vigorously pursuing it. (Matthew 11:12) But there is something special about this generation of Faith Sons. They are on the cutting edge and leading the vanguard of a world changing phenomenon. This generation of the Faith Sons will be the first generation in mankind’s history to begin the unification of Christianity, the unification of religions, and the unification of religion and science.
Already we are seeing the good fruits of unification as the Faith Sons engage in the revolutionary Into His Harvest ministry. Sons of all denominations are crossing religious borders and finding commonality of faith with those whom they once may have rejected. They are experiencing, not interfaith, but a shared faith – a faith that thrives on acceptance, not mere tolerance, one that is not just non-denominational but is trans-denominational.
This generation of the Faith Sons is already learning to unify high religious ideals with pure science. The Sons are realizing that scientific discovery can never destroy faith. It can only enhance it. And as their message spreads, the modern day Faith Sons may be the first generation to see a continuing and steady decline in atheism.
This generation of Faith Sons is the first generation to understand why we are here and where we are going. They have demystified heaven and shed the fear of mortal death, knowing that they already have been given the gift of everlasting life through their faith in Christ Jesus. They can now live their lives unselfishly, in a way that looks out for the interests of future generations – their children, their grandchildren and their great grandchildren.
All of this is possible because the Faith Sons are not tied to authoritative religions, antiquated religious ideologies or ignorant superstitions. They are free to associate, free to ask, seek and knock, free to inquire, speculate, and imagine, free to find God without the intervention of man. (See Jesus’ Declaration of Spiritual Independence.) Yet it would not be proper to describe them as a new religion. Being a Faith Son is more like a nationality since we are citizens of the heavens, that is, members of the heavenly nation. (Philippians 3:20) Their religious associations would be more likened to local communities where they serve their fellow man, always conscious of their spiritual heritage.
This generation of Faith Sons represent the new religious frontier. They are what religion will become as the authentic, plain and open teachings of Jesus are more widely spread and more clearly understood. This places on their shoulders the responsibility to make sure that Jesus’ authentic teachings are never again submerged, suppressed or adulterated as they have been for the past several centuries. This also means that they must devise ways to develop fellowships that eliminate the risk of self-important people becoming the masters over their faith. And they must find ways to maintain their spiritual independence without falling victim to isolationism. This can be accomplished if the Faith Sons stay true to Jesus’ authentic teachings and hold fast to the two greatest commandments – to love God with our whole being and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Just think about it. What if Jesus’ message of sonship was to spread all over the world? Wouldn’t it foster tolerance, patience and even love for others? What if all mankind knew for a certainty that life continues after the demise of the physical body and that the vast heavens that we look upon at night is our destiny and our future home? Wouldn’t the whole world’s outlook change?
This is the challenge facing this generation of Faith Sons – to make these promises real by tearing down superstitions, removing superfluous doctrines, and revealing the underlying truth. By so doing, we will aid in the maturing of religious thought, which we call “uplifting the spiritual conversation,” and we will see a unification of religion, and a unification of pure religion with pure science.
We can and will do this. The Faith Sons are the religious pioneers of our generation, and the message we share – Jesus’ authentic, plain and open teachings – is the salvation of our world. The world truly needs to see Jesus living again on earth in the living experience of spirit-born men and women who effectively reveal the Master to all men. This generation of Faith Sons are doing just that!
